Early Works for establishment of the Kemmis Pit Stage 2 Project (K2), a northern boxcut extension of the existing Kemmis Pit Stage 1 (K1N) development.
Clearing and grubbing of 133ha to allow access to areas for box cut strips, spoil dumps, topsoil stockpiles, northern and southern mine water dams and landholder, mine and back access roads.
Topsoil stripping (166,000 m3) of box cut strips, spoil dumps and landholder, mine and back access roads.
Construction of dual-lane, unsealed access roads:
Landholder access road (12 km)
Mine access road (2.3 km)
Back access road (9.1 km)
All fencing and culverts associated with the Landholder Access Road, Mine Access Road and Back Access Road
