CPH was contracted to carry out the vegetation clearing and topsoil stripping required to enable BHP to commence and continue pre-strip operations at Caval Ridge Mine, which was then under construction.
Over the contract duration, CPH:
Cleared and grubbed hundreds of hectares of timbered land; and
Stripped and relocated to stockpile over 3 million cubic metres of topsoil.
At the peak of the project, CPH moved 320,00 cubic metres of topsoil per moth over haul distances up to 3.5km, utilizing a fleet of scrapers and articulated dump trucks.
